Kubit chain wax

Pure, high-quality wax with 99% pure micron-graphite. This chain wax is engineered to be long lasting and provide superior protection to drive-train moving parts. One application to a well cleaned and de-lubricated chain will last approxiately 300km.

Kubit chain wax is Eco-friendly lubriction without "forever chemicals" such as PTFE.

Each pack contains at least 400g of hot melt wax, a specially optimized blend of waxes designed for bicycle chains. It is further enhanced with ultra-fine graphite, ensuring exceptional efficiency and long-lasting lubrication. Importantly, our wax formulation is free from “forever chemicals” like PTFE.

A single application of our wax will typically last for circa 300km. One pack (36 cubes) of wax is usually sufficient for approximately 25+ chain treatments, but this may vary depending on riding conditions and the presence of contaminants such as dirty riding conditions or extreme wet.

To apply the wax, it needs to be melted in a slow cooker or water bath held below boiling point, excessive temperatures can damage the wax or pose a fire hazard.

Before the initial waxing, it is essential to thoroughly clean and degrease the chain. Subsequent wax applications do not require additional cleaning. Simply turn on your wax slow cooker, or begin heating Kubit wax in the biodegradable wax heating bag supplied. Alternatively the Silicone wax bag is a perfect accessory for the task. place the chain in the melted wax until it is fully submerged, and allow it to heat.

For wax application, submerge the chain in the melted wax and agitate the chain by using a clean bent metal wire or our chain holder wire, take great care not to damage the supplied heating bag or silicone wax bag.

After giving the chain 10 minutes in the hot wax, hang the chain to dry, when cooled, begin flexing the chain to free up the links so re-fitting is easier. Please note that freshly waxed chains require a break-in period of approximately 10 minutes. During this time, avoid adjusting gears or performing other mechanical actions, simply pedal. Once this initial break-in period is complete, your chain will offer silent and smooth riding for hundreds of kilometers.
